Oh, yes .I bought another doll .My love affair with dolls I think started from a early age when I recieved a box of old dolls and dresses from my great-great grandma .I played with them ,I didn't have barbies or anything just these old dolls here in this trunk.I am glad I took care of them and still have them today scince I have had them scince maybe I was 5 or so.
I love the little bunch of millinery tucked in the old bonnet. An here is the doll I just got ,isn't she pretty!
And I couldn't resist taking a picture of her bloomers, I love the details ,the tattered fabric and colors make my heart swoon!
And my little bag made it back from Haute Handbags and now is listed in my shop here
http://www.etsy.com/shop/vintagepaperbella This would be cute for any little girls room or even to use to stash things pretty with found objects stitched in place.
It is not half off but everything else in the shop is still 1/2 OFF!
and my little apron is home now too from Art quilting Studio. That is also listed in the shop!Hard to part with but I really am overflowing here with aprons!
Every stitch and detail ,old barkcloth rose fabric ,old pearls, buttons, millinery, rhinestones from an old doll dress.I added more photos of the details on the etsy listing...

Those are so gorgeous.
In the midst of the craziness of life, remember to carve out some "you time," a little "mother culture," and make something lovely each day to nurture your own soul, and then you will have more to offer to others and prevent burn out as well. And don't forget that The Artistic Mother's Art Group can help with that. I find that the group is helping me to balance life, motherhood and being artistic.
I'm so glad you are a part of our group, and I look forward to seeing your versions of the projects we are all doing together in The Artistic Mother by Shona Cole. Please let me know if there is ever anything that I can do for you or if you ever have any questions.
May God bless your day.

Andrea what a beautiful collection of dolls you have :) MY daughter asked me the other day why I have soo many old, ugly falling apart dolls lol All I could say is, you come to a point in your life where somethings remind you of certain wonderful times in your life and that is what these dolls do for me, she kinda gets it now, but I can't tell you how many times, I have walked into a room and found my beautiful bebe dolls facing the wall...not cause they are in trouble, but because they scare her lol no imagine if I had just the doll heads all over the place :) I think your apron and bag are so pretty! I love seeing what new beauties you create :) Have a lovely week! Besos, Rose
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You can now keep your eye out for an ugly mannequin with the knowlege that an ugly duckling can be turned into a swan with some work and effort, with no extra added costs. Just a few tools. :)
You look like you've got quite the talent with sewing. Love the cuffs and other things you sew. Very cool!
Happy WW.

Is your banner new? Something looks different. Maybe I just don't pay close enough attention. Anyway, your blog looks really pretty!
How lucky to have your dolls from when you were young. I wish I had my childhood toys. My mother threw things out as soon as we got new ones. LOL Being a hoarder is NOT one of her issues LOL.
Your dolls are so beautiful! They are much like my mother's dolls that I love so much...
Hope your evening is lovely!
Love the dolls and your sweet creations! Off to look in your store!
Hugs, Lisa

Ok...now I really know we could sooo be friends! I have yet to outgrow dolls and I think I never will. thank goodness!
Love those precious little bloomers! How wonderful to have inherited such little beauties.
Was just browsing through your blog...gorgeous.
All your dolls are so lovely! I also grew up with old dolls from fleamarkets and even though most of the dolls I collect now are modern resin ball-jointed dolls, I make clothes for them using vintage fabric, lace and heirloom sewing techniques. I can see why you couldn't resist showing your new girl's bloomers -- such pretty lace and details!

I love old dolls. When I was a little girl, I collected dolls instead of playing with them.
