I just got Rachel ashwell's newest book and i'm loving it.. just as pretty as all her other books of course .. I also wanted to say hi to all my blog friends out there, this last year I have been MIA but I'm going to get back to posting more often.. My life has just been so crazy this past year I am hoping for a better year in 2012!!! Of course I've still been out searching for treasures and have lots to share....and I will on my next post! I hope ya'll havent forgotten about me, I'm still here and ready to continue with my journey and get back to the things I love ....and share them all with you !!

A few pretty things spotted today while perusing on Anthropologie ...I just love the catalogs you get from them too.
I am so in love with these shoes and just about anything at Anthropologie ...These would be in my hands right now if only I could justify 398.00 for a pair of shoes...pretty tempting though.

They also make flats look so pretty , especially when there all pictured like this ...I always get inspired by Anthropologie.

Isn't this Georgina bedding just so sweet. I think I would never want to get out of bed laying in this .I love all the little details on it.. which you can see close up on there website here.

I have been out treasure hunting all over ...from here to Oklahoma . I found the cutest little antique store in a two story brick building with the prettiest old tin ceiling you ever seen in white.
Here's my little work space with treasures I've had..And I can't wait to share my new found finds with you this week.

I've been having a bit of a vintage wallpaper box fetish lately.. so I've been creating a bunch..I did make a few extra for my etsy shop.. complete with velvet ribbons... perfect for storing little treasures in or to pretty the craft room.

I love these petite buntings.... I plan on making so many more ..I love them all together hanging from the bed ..from anywhere they look good...especially these cute little petite ones..made on vintage seam binding... I added these ones to my etsy shop...
I can't wait to make more ...

Snowed in here ...for the day ...so i thought I'd take some of my creations out for photos...like these cute little clip on valentines day honeycomb hearts.. and some of my heart boxes I created for my etsy shop.

So pretty..I just love valentines day ..and i love creating..I could make so many many of these..

It has been so long scince I have posted...I have just been soooooo busy !! Even busy lately for creating..however I did manage to make some time today to create a few valentine boxes for my little shop...

I just love valentines day ..such a pretty holiday ..with flowers and glittered hearts ..and such..I have fallen in love with these cute little honeycomb hearts with there scalloped edges.....cute for cupcakes and for crafting.....

Here is the lampshade I created for the newest issue of somerset Home ..I decided to add it to my shop..it is packed full of vintage ribbon and trims and tied there with two old millinery flowers..the old wire lampshade is just as sweet as can be..and a pretty aqua knit stocking..is this perfect for christmas or what?? I love the hanging pom poms...

And you can also find these lovely angels I added to my shop as well ..the angel images are on both sides

And who doesn't love these sweet little glittered churches.. they just are so pretty and can really be used all year ..not only for christmas... You can find all the goodies here

And last but not least ..here is what I made fo sew Somerset which I also added to my little shop... this is extremely pretty ..I just love it...I finally feel like I got something done today??? How about you???

A little Inspiration...

A little inspiration can be found in this pile of clippings from a few years worth of magazines I had decided to tear out my favorites and make one inspiration book .. There all still loose clippings and pages tucked into a binder....I have been working on some cute little Christmas pretties to show soon... I'm feeling a little late this year when usually i am working on Christmas as early as July but better late than ever...

Check out this fabulous issue of Sew Somerset ...You can see sneek peaks inside at stampington.com ... I created something really pretty for this issue ..out of vintage french labels and old ephemera with stitches sewn about ...Theres just something about sewn paper that I just love ....

And I've been on the road a bit this winter .And as you can see we don't go anywhere with out my favorite Starbucks Christmas blend...I love it and usually buy enough of it to last me till March or so.. and what is it about there red cups that really get you in the Christmas spirit???

Anywho...... I look foward to posting my glittery little churches next time... I just love all that sparkles and anything loaded with glitter...

I just love anything with ruffles such as these old petticoats and an old doll dress...

along with old velvet roses.....especially when there a bit smooshed or crinkled ... Just looking at these petticoats makes me want to put one on .....I wanted to say hello ..I have just been a bit or actually ALOT busy lately.... but never too busy to take a moment to post something pretty..

Still so young...She told me it came from North Dakota and was my Uncle's mom's from around 1930's/40's or so .. Visions of Christmas

The start of Christmas begins in Spetember for me... I have started pulling out the Christmas Goods to take to the Funky Junk Flea mArket next month in Puyallup,Wa.. I am so excited to be a vendor this time..I am already planning how my booth will be set up ...

I found all these little glass ornaments and thought they look so lovely in this old candy box... I just love em..there perfect for tying on to little packages and things..

My biggest task will be getting into the closet that I use to store all my Christmas ..Should be interesting and maybe a little dusty!

Good Morning! Just wanted to share what I received from my friend Pam's chickens... Fresh eggs........We haven't painted our chicken coop yet ..but it's in the works!It is complete except for the out side walk-in part..(working on that!) The vote was for Robin's Egg Blue ....... I am still trying to decided between that and a distressed white ..I have been doing lot's of research on what type of chickens I want to get and I can't wait to get it set up ... Chickens make the best pets!

My baby girl turned 3 today ......Realizing more and more how fast they grow...... We had chocolate cake and organic vanilla bean ice cream..

And meet my new best friend ! A Canon Digital Rebel xt 8 mp.. I am so loving this ..I said goodbye to my digital.... and so far ..I am loving this..I've been playing with this all day

Still trying to figure it all out , theres so much more to this one ..It really captures what I am visualizing ..things I haven't been able to capture before...
And something else exciting .... It's official,I will be a vendor at the Funky Junk Sisters Show ..I can hardly wait , the preperations are under way!!

A few old fence posts I picked up ,still waiting for the perfect place for them, I may use them in my home somewhere....

And I got the armoire moved into my little studio ...Doesn't it look different than before ?? Maybe you remember pics of my little room before ?? I am loving the way the room has really come even more together in away that inspires me to create !

I just love this armoire.... and I wanted to do something with it .... besides store my tv..

I made my own little world inside here ,something with all my best things... of course this could never hold all my stash.. but this here is a little nook of inspiration... as soon as I open the doors I am inspired and ready to create .....

I like it.. for a long time I have pondered doing this and well I finally did.......and I think it turned out so cute ~! a little of this and a little of that .... if I want to sew I put my sewing machine on the table.... Oh I still have my little studio ....but something about this really inspires me....

Of course we have a door full of dolls..I tacked up my old shoe holder bag to the inside of the door ... I love them for their sweet old fabric dresses, some of the prettiest patterns and trims I have ever seen....

Now the trick will be getting this moved into my studio !

And then the destashing continues.... would you believe I went through my vintage dresses and was able to part with 3 of them don't ask me how???????But I have added them to my etsy shop... My collection has grown quite abit ... and I always find them and buy them!!

It's these details that make me swoon over old dresses ....I love to collect them ...And will all my crinolines too my dress rack is a bit over stuffed !

All pale french blue colors........If only I could get into this one..I would so wear it!

I have been so busy cleaning , kinda like spring cleaning but a fall cleaning ... fall is one of my favorite seasons... ... and then it will be Christmas . yah! I know I am not the only Christmas Fanatic around ...excited as soon as September comes ..I can't wait to decorate already....

I dusted everything ...washed linens... and windows.. and have been decluttering ,or trying to!!!

Less really is more ...I don't want my family to turn me in to the hoarder police..... so I am having a big yardsale this weekend... I hope to get rid of lots of stuff! I have also been working on a blog redo.... .. a change ......and another special little project that is top secret thus far!

Does your table ever look like this??? Several projects everywhere ?It happens so fast..one minute it's cleared off and the next minute you can't find the table! And as you can see I have a little helper ..My work table is small... maybe too small... but it works because of all it's drawers it has to store my things in...

And some Friday Flowers..... I am hoping you'll post your Friday Flowers next friday with me ...These blue canning jars become my favorite vases...

Has anyone else gotten this??? Oh my ... It is a magazine packed full of color and pretty..You can sign up for a catalog on their website cathkidston.com and get yourself one ! It's not like their regular catalogs ..this time it is like a magazine ...and well worth the wait for it to come...
My two favorite finds from this weeks treasures.....
These are both old ..same plate..just two different shades for some reason.... Definatly keepers though...

Fresh Picked Studio

Some fresh picked little flowers from my garden and arranged them so...so dainty they fit perfectly in this little creamer.
Trying to gear up for a busy week, the barn sale starts Thursday ... so I have been working over there to get ready ....but managed to almost finish my studio RE-DO !!I don't know if you remember the before but here is the after !!!!!!!!!!!

I am just so happy with the results .....

I used mostly white with aqua accents ....and pink too...

A place to hold inspiration .....I wanted my room to look like a little room, and not like the hoarders stash..he!HE!

P.s( My shops will be closed starting Thursday till further notice .....)FOr the barn sale ..

and will of course take lots of pics of all the treasures for you to see.....

Thats how you say Raspberry Jam in French...... I made a bunch of it yesterday and wanted to share some with you ..It is also organic .... 99% of everything I eat is organic or locally grown.... I covered the tops of the jars with old sack cloth ,tied with linen ribbon and labeled around the lid.... who wouldn't love to receive one of these???

Yum ! Yum! Besides making jam ... I am hoping to do strawberry tommarow....I have cleaned out my studio ....and listed a bunch of supplies and a vintage dress in my etsy shop ... if anyones interested....

I also made this cute utility apron.. I love these becasue there so handy to wear when selling at shoes... A heavy canvas with two pockets ..linen ruffles .....girly trim and a rose I made using vintage fabric..... Tie one on! This one is listed in my shop but I made a few others like this one I'll wear at the Barn Sale next weekend and I made one for my friend Jenny to wear..cute huh?

I picked this up at a little antique shop in town ..and i just fell in love with it...The stitches and old fabric...

I have been feeling so much better .. it's like a huge ball of energy has exploded! I am so glad I didn't chicken out from the surgery ... ahhh... I flushed my heart pills and it felt great! So.. I have been tinkering in the studio .....

And feeling so inspired .. to create ...

Thank you for all your well wishes ~ The surgery went very well ..I even made in back home on Monday and I am feeling so much better.A little sore from the insisions but will be Back to a normal life ! I have been taking heart pills for over a year now everyday for Supraventricular tachycardia that have caused me to wake up tired, be tired all day ...affecting my creativity !

If I could give you each a little vase like this of peonies ,I would.....becasue you are each so special to me ...Thank you again for all your prayers . I am so happy I didn't chicken out and just did it, now no pills and more energy to create !

And now I'll have more time for this creating with a bowl full of trinkets like these.... xo

Oh yes,it's another chandelier to add to my collection..I have wanted one of this style for awhile and luckily my junkin pal Jenny had this and soon it became mine ~!I think it looks pretty with the old bed frame I picked up so we'll see once I get the bed set up ..still have to go pick up a new mattress set for it ~ :)

I love this old crown fit for a bride or display ..I just love all the old beading on the front and the tulle on the back .. I intentionally bought this for my shop and have been hoarding it for awhile but now have decided to part with it ..It's just so pretty! I can't keep everything I find so I added it here to the shop!

What a difference a little windex makes?? I got all 6 chandeliers cleaned today ,have one left to go :) and also cleaned these cloches I have ..I like to change whats underneath every so often ..So I put my sweet baby doll under here for now..On the way back from yakima I stopped at one of my favorite antique shops and picked up another one of these. I didn't have one in this pretty of blue , but now I do!! I may where this at a show!!

And lots and lots of these... I love the pink and white ones but I also like the other colors ..Something bold in a house of mostly white ..I also added a few to the shop and will be the next couple days ..more colors..

The street fair is tommarow... I am hoping to find more treasures .........

Summer Wedding

Is this a sweet little old doll or what? Cloth body and she has a crier inside that still works.. I added her to the shOP, you could use her head for something or put a pretty dress on this one.

I love these old Tattered lampshades ... I want to make something pretty with these?? Maybe attach some old fabric to them ? Something??? What do you think?

I picked up these two old flour sifters at a yard sale for 50 cents and piece and knew right away what I wanted to do with them ..I picked up lavender and planted them inside..Any cute little plants will do in these..I also have a ton of vintage crinoline trim if anyone would like some I added it to the SHop.

I love to make bouquets outside on my little picnic table. These just from a day ago from my neighbor again ..I love having fresh flowers all the time with a neighbor like her with the yard she has and I the yard I am trying to achieve.

I love using old milkglass vases and old blue canning jars ..I have plenty handy ,I really believe everyone should have fresh flowers inside their home at all times... I do.!

And more flowers.... here is the wedding bouquet I made Saturday for my now Brother's Wife. I think it turned out so lovely! That's what 10+ years as a florist will get you!Made right in my kitchen for 1/4 of the price!

What a busy crazy week ! Now I feel like I can relax a little ,wrap up last minute pricing for the barn sale in Enumclaw Wa. If anyone lives in the area and would like directions please just ask! I would love to meet you !!!!!!!!!!!A short post but wanted to say Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roses and more roses....

I found some great stuff this weekend ,like this vintage french postcard album..The pages are just as lovely as can be with the cherub angles and doodles on each page .

The old little sticker still on the inside... As well as this cream vintage album with sparrows embossed on the front..Not sure what I will do with them..I thought the lined paper would be pretty scanned and then printed to write notes on.

And today I recieved a ton of fresh garden flowers from my dear neighbor who has literally a rose bush farm going, there are so many..I am glad I have lots of little vase, even canning jars help!

I even left some on the day porch ..I am doing the wedding flowers for my Brothers wedding next Saturday and i thought how lovely would these be in a wedding bouquet...

I have been really so busy ... getting ready for the Barn Sale and finishing up on my new website!

I added pretty things like this old jewelry box..This is one of the prettiest ones I have ever found!And this lampshade from Anthroplogie... It's hard to part with ..but I have so many lamps it rediculous!

Picked up this old hanging iron lamp the other day just needs to be rewired.I just love it!!

I also made a bundle of burlap and linen table runners. These look so pretty on my farmhouse table!

A little getaway..........

Back from a week at the beach in Westport,Wa. ...Theres just something about the ocean that is truly inspring....Our little cottage we stay in #7~ home away from home...

Starfish line the powder blue drapes throgh out the cottage which is located almost right ont he beach and right next to one of my favorite little shops ,The Mercantile...

The place is an old 1920's school house turned into a huge antique shop full of inspiration. I could just live at the cottages...A little store across the way ,the prettiest antique shop next store...I am really thinking about it ....

A vintage pincushion made of the prettiest linen and ols pale blue floppy worn ribbons, just the way I like them ...And some old trim with more old ribbon woven through.

Vintage hankie keeps, I just love the old fabric on these and the worn ribbons.

Sweet vintage handmade seam binding , don't you just love this and a whole spool of it.

The inside of the most prettiest candy box I have ever found ~

A pale satin blue with floppy ribbon bow on top with old ribbon work flowers. Oh my ,this is definalty a keeper.Also a pair of old shoe forms with the prettiest pale blue silk ruffled with more old ribbon work and some old hat netting with velvet ribbons. I just love all these little details ,don't you ?

So pretty , not sure if I showed you my new 1920's metal bed frame or not but here it is topped with Rachel Ashwell's Simply Shabby Chic all white sheets and ruffled white blanket.

I love the basket with flowers ,it is also on the footboard part as well. Chippy cream in color , still trying to decide whether I'll paint it white or not, but for now I like it in it's original state.

Birthday Girl

My Lily Mae turns 7 today . It's amazing how fast time goes by ..it seams only yesterday she was just a little baby.
Every girl wants to be a princess right? I created this pretty garland out of strips of fabric, I had so many little pieces of this and that , and this was a great way to use them all ..Isn't it pretty!I have another one in the works of creams and whites and vintage linens.I am going to use them when I will be a vendor at the next funky junk sisters show for my booth!

A close up of all the pretty fabrics. I used strips ranging from 2by8 inches to 3 by 12 inches. With a little burlap mixed in , It really didn't take too long at all, i tied them onto a sturdy piece of ribbon.

And a party wouldn't be a party without another old dress I picked up off of ebay, I really love this one, with it's velvet waist band.

And layers of tulle ruffles. I think i am addicted to these !

I have been making these cute headbands for my girls ,using old millinery flowers. I just love them ,I used a piece of old pale blue elastic, then sewed it together and glued on the flower.
Art really does save , as a busy mom ...art is my time for myself , it is relaxing to me and with my own little studio, it's like my own little getaway ...

This is so pretty! I specailly ordered this from Gabrielle after seeing one on her blog and I can't even tell you how pretty it is! Old fabric and tulle flowers ,I am going to hang this in my girls room ,maybe ? I kinda like it for myself, but I need to quit hoarding! Do you ever feel like a hoarder?

A favorite . I love these more than roses.

I think everyone should have fresh flowers in their home , these came from my sweet neighbor , she has about 6 huge bushes of these peonies, so I am sure I will be having quite a few of them .

I have a small little plant of these and I can't wait till it's a huge bush to pick and pick from, nothing like fresh garden flowers , right? Hope you had a lovely weekend ,we just lounged around ,it was great ..nothing to do , no where to go .. there's no place like home..

Something pretty for anything......I just love old silver ,can't seem to snatch up enough of it.

A few pretties just listed in my new shop ! You may remember this vintage velvet strawberry pincushion.

Vintage crinoline trim. I love using this on little things.

Remember the vintage dress fromthe 1930's ,well here are cute little bundles made tied with vintage velvet ribbon.

And I also added this sweet little vintage mirror,I made this awhile ago ,covered with vintage pretty little millinery flowers ,some pretty velvet ones too.

I had made this using pieces from that vintage wedding dress I showed you, I did finally cut it, see the cut little pom pom trim. I sewed it to make it bunch up a bit, like ruffles and added it around this old frame .I also had made this for the show what you create blog party, but didn't get a chance to photograph it, so here it is!

Here is the whole view ,I think I'll use it when I'll be a vendor at the next Funky Junk show. And hang it from my new vintage dress form I picked up this weekend.

Isn't it pretty! It stands in my living room right now becasue my studio is already jam packed with junk . I put one of the old dresses I picked up at the flea on her, with one of my favorite old millinery flowers.

Do you ever go shopping and after you wish you would have bought that thing you seen??Well that was the case with this old vintage dress.I had seen it at the flea and was kicking myself when I got home for not buying it, but luckily I got the vendors card and walla I contacted her and bought it .I felt so lucky! I think I have a vintage dress addiction!

And at the same little shop I picked up the dress form I found this cute little old scale. I just love it .It sits on my kitchen table ,I had one but it wasn't as cute as this one, so I sold the other.

Is there anyone else who loved old dolls like I do??I am sure I am not the only one, right? Well a new antique shop opened up in town and yep you guessed it I had to buy these.The look darling up against the white bedding.Sigh....

Thanks to everyone who created with me on Friday ,I tried to visit as many of you as I could .I loved all the creativeness! I have a big news ,I can hardly wait to share with you ,but I'll have to wait even though I am not very good at keeping surprises!

These are the goods that came home with me ,I can already hardly wait for the next flea in the fall. I was even thinking of being a vendor myself this time.I just love old ticking fabric pillows.They sure don't make them like they used to!

And another doll, a girl can never have too many right??

Some tea stained trims ,old keys and watch faces.

I couldn't resist this old green pom pom trim.

Picked up this cute sack cloth towel to use in the kitchen, not that I have used it yet . Some old heart picks for corsages I make and things.

Lots of these, wish I would have bought more!!

And say hello to the perfect purse from Anthropologie!!! Brand new from a seller who actually lives in the same town as me! It's so nice to meet people who are like you !

I must confess I have a vintage dress and crinoline addiction, found these two at the flea.

I could just look at them all day !

So much so I tossed them all on the couch ,I had them hanging about my room but needed a pretty place to keep them .

And so here is what I did ! I bought a rack to hang them all on and it is now in my living room.I would have perferred an old rack but this will due for now until I can find one!!

There is just so much to show you , so I thought I would start with these..

I had so much fun!

I can't wait to show you what came home with me , old prom dresses,tea stained trims and old ticking feather pillows just to name a few...

I brought my 2 girls with me and they were a big help!

Carrying my bags as we filled up the flea market cart I brought with rather quickly!

Off to the Flea tonight and I can hardly wait! I will be bringing my little helper, it's so much easier to shop without an armload of treasures.

And wanted to say Thank you to Cerri of LittlePinkStudio for this lovely basket, we were partners in Jenny's May Day basket swap! And I just love everything she sent me. The doll, the basket and all the little goodies fit right in to my home!

Thanks for all your help on the chandelier, I think or now I will leave it. I do like the contrast against all the white around here not that there could ever be TOO much white!
I made a crown yesterday for my little doll head here with some vintage wallpaper, old tinsel and pieces of an old doll dress .

And I found this a 1930's vintage wedding dress and just LOOK at the trim on this , oh my .I am really thinking about cutting it up and using the lace and trim, what do you think?? It's not like I am going to wear this although I certainly would if I was to be getting married. Oh please help me decide!!!

And you can never have too many of these .I really like this blue color ,more and more .This old shoe bag has lovely stitched detail and will help out alot once I get it hung up in the studio and stuffed with goodies!

I think I am having an organizing fetish lately, I bought the shoe bag and this old vintage drawers from an old sewing machine thingy. I just love the chippy old paint.

I picked up a few goods over the weekend and I just love the way they all look together. Three of these old plates , a beautiful dresser scarf with pretty crochet trim and an old card that says Reward of Merit.I was thinking what a lovely Mother's Day Gift this would make all simply tied with an old piece of seam binding ribbon.

And I promised a picture of my living room , here is one side of it .And on the other side is the tv and my computer desk. Over the window I tacked up a old white belgin linen tablecloth.Five kids and white couches, heck ya! No I am not crazy , the slipcovers can come off and be washed and bleached if needed.

And on my computer desk on the other side of the room ,I added a old floppy flower and seam binding ribbon to a favorite old lampshade of mine.

And a few treasures to be insired by ...

Vintage Wallpaper Giveaway

If only you could see me glowing still after bringing these new couches home. I love them ,slip covered and now re-arranging today .This is the before and you'll have to come back for the next post to see the after.

I also brought home four rolls of vintage wallpaper to line drawers and finally the back of my book shelf ,if you remember I had several different pieces scattered on the back of the book shelf and now I am going to choose one of these to grace the back.

I sure have been busy today out snatching up the goods.

An old frame, these I just love even to hang without any picture or sometimes I'll tuck an old birth certificate in the frame .

I just love these little flapper girls ,looks like maybe they would have been pot holders or pieces to an old quilt ,along with this gorgeous dish.I have wanted one like it for awhile and this one is in excellent condition!

Some old linen pillowcases.I have a linen fetish for sure .I am planning on getting a armoir to contain them all because my little hutch is bursting at the seams!

A old pretty lamp that works, I just love the chandy crystals .An old toile tray and a pretty sign that I am deciding where to hang.

Plus an old lampshade frame with a bit of old ribbon tied around part of it .It's that little detail that made it mine.

Are you hungry? I know I am .I just love these blueberry muffins from Starbucks.

And it looks so yummy on a pretty plate,don't ya think?
This weekend I picked up one of these old mirrors , I have quite a few now and with this one I added a few old photos ,don't ask me who they are ? I do however love the look. Along the bottom I added a trail of old millinery flowers and in the corner an old millinery rosebud with an old crinkled ribbon, the more crinkled the better.

And of course I picked up some flowers for you and me!

Oh, yes .I bought another doll .My love affair with dolls I think started from a early age when I recieved a box of old dolls and dresses from my great-great grandma .I played with them ,I didn't have barbies or anything just these old dolls here in this trunk.I am glad I took care of them and still have them today scince I have had them scince maybe I was 5 or so.

I love the little bunch of millinery tucked in the old bonnet.An here is the doll I just got ,isn't she pretty!

And I couldn't resist taking a picture of her bloomers, I love the details ,the tattered fabric and colors make my heart swoon!

And my little bag made it back from Haute Handbags and now is listed in my shop here

I just love the way these turned out,I made the rosettes using the prettiest old rose fabric and old ribbon from the 1920's from an old millinery hat shop.
I love the one with the doily ,I hand dyed it a light blue cream.

Burlap vase giveaway

I am loving burlap lately and it's not just for pillows and tote bags anymore.I created some pretty vases to diplay ,these here are on my day porch . I used blue vintage mason jars and then sewed pockets to holds them with burlap. Added old ribbon and vintage photos and here are the results!I love the one with the horse photo on the front and then I added an old horse prize ribbon to the side with glass mercury beads hanging below.

I've been doing a little sewing , made these little pants for Gracie and also made skirts for the two older girls .I just didn't get a chance to take pictures of those but I will. I love to sew ,crafting for me actually started with sewing . I never actually thought of sewing till several years now ago their was a sewing machine my aunt was selling for $15 in a yard sale I was hosting.

I have been sewing ever scince. The more sewing i did the better I got. If your looking for a easy peasy pattern for little girls clothes I like Sandi henderson patterns. Oh my gosh their so easy.I can't read a store pattern but these have easy to follow along directions.

Now is this little teacup just the prettiest thing?? I was lucky to have a little Easter swap with Miss Lori She makes the prettiest things....

And look at this sweet little bunny she made. Just adorable and I love the lavender!

Just a few things that I love .They inspire me and set the mood for something lovely.Like this darling old vintage doll dress, I love the sweet stitched tulle ruffles. Found it on etsy ,don't you just love etsy??

And we couldn't start out the week without a dose of fresh flowers like these pretty ranuculus. I think I spelled that right, anyhow there pretty and say english garden to me.

Hope you don't mind my name on the pictures, I just worry about photo theft, do you ever? I picked up this cute old album for less than 1.00. I get so lucky sometimes ,I guess that is the thrill of the hunt .I plan on doing something with this ,not sure what yet .

And isn't this just so lovely .A real vintage velvet strawberry pin cushion, just as sweet as day.It may not be pink but it still has beauty to me. Another etsy find.

And actually two of my best finds for the week ,is this cast iron candle wall thingy I picked up at Goodwill for four bucks .Thanks GW! And this pretty old pink hat with a pink velvet bow another etsy find. I just love the cast iron, it's texture and worn places I just love. So I guess all I have been doing is shopping, what about you??

I scored on a few Shabby Chic tm coffee cups on ebay a few weeks ago. I just love them and threatened everyone here as to what will happen if they break one!

And tonight I will be dreaming in these pretty Rachel Ashwell Shabby Chic Couture Pajamas that came to my door today .They are just lovely as lovely can be!This is what I call luxury!

Bakery Bags

At the bakery again , not only for the donuts I ate ,AND I ate way too many! But for some of these white little paper sacks . Cute enough to be turned into little gift bags for little gifts or in my case cookies!Cookies for me that is! My diet hasn't been working lately, I have a severe sweet tooth for sure.
Scored at Goodwill again on the picture of these sweet little girl ,the silver pitcher I found at a yard sale a few weeks ago. I can't wait for more yard sales to come once it gets nicer.I always seem to have the best luck with them!

I finally had some energy last night and made myself a little journal. Not that I really journal but this is a start~ I ordered some stamps and when they come I'll show what this will eventually be.Although it is pretty enough as it is.

Lets make something pretty today

I picked up some cute Bethany Lowe easter goodies for me and some for the shop, I just love the vintage style and the cute little old graphics on the front of this crepe wrapped basket! How could I ever pack this away.Went to Goodwill yesterday and found these pretty old earrings , a couple stones are missing but I don't care there so pretty!

I have had a dry spell in my creating lately ,what do you do to get inspired? I bought two rolls of old ribbon the kind that has paper between each piece around the roll. I cut ribbon like pieces and decorated them into pretty prize ribbons .

And with the help of a cute little Easter kit I bought on etsy from Julie Collings. I made two cute little easter baskets .Oh there so cute! My little Gracie was especially fond of the little chicks, she wanted them all so I gave her one and hid the rest.

And the week wouldn't be complete with out some fresh flowers for us to enjoy! I buy them weekly now, the house just feels more pretty with a lovely bouquet! One of these days I would like to create a floral design tutorial for you. These flowers sure make me miss the working atthe flower shop.

Anyways my studio looks like a tornado hit so I am going to try to clean it up today. Wish me luck I may just get lost in there! xo andrea

I hope you did. How about a little Easter egg hunt?

So pretty, these are really addicting! These little eggs made in western germany are a treat for the eyes when finished with old millinery flowers and velvet ribbons along with lots of other vintage embellishments.

I love how they all look together. Really hard to part with ,I did however add a few to my shop

And look how pretty they all look in this little basket. I picked up this cute little basket at Goodwill and made a burlap ,tea stained ruffle liner for it! I tied thehandle with some old greyish colored ribbon .I made a couple eggs for gifts too. You can fill the inside with candy or paper shreds for an even more special gift! What have you made this week?

White paint and burlap

My apron is home now from Apronology. have you picked up this fabulous issue yet?? I used a piece of a crinoline from my blue one. It is so full you can't even tell I cut a piece out to use for this .When I was done I just sewed it back together! I added a pretty rose and ribbons from an old prize ribbon.

One of my new fetishes is old clocks, pretty ones like this one .It even still works ,found at a thrift store for 75 cents! Total score !And after putting some of my dolls in the shop here I am buying more. Meet my new little Nancy Ann doll who keeps me company while doing dishes, here she is sitting in my window ledge above the sink.

I was so happy to finally find a lamp to go with this gorgeous vintage lampshade, it is silver in color and works too.I just love the contrast. And the chair , picture this chair all brown.
I wish I would have taken before pics.

And the seat was the same wicker stuff that backs the chair and had a slight tea in the seat, found for 2.50 at the thrift store on a half off sale. I painted it white and added two layers of burlap to the seat and tacked it with furniture tacks . I love the way it turned out, junk to some but to me I seen what it could be ,even with the tear in the seat, it is plenty sturdy to sit in.I can't paint at all, all my paint jobs turn out so crappy ....but here it is!

Velvet Millinery

I just love velvet flowers, velvet ribbon and just about anything velvet really. I just listed a few in the shop . Thanks for all your ideas and suggesting for the shelf, I think I am going to glue the wallpaper to cardstock and then tape it up .That way I can always use the wallpaper for other things, but really thought even if I glued it on, it is so pretty would I really change my mind?

I've got gluesticks

To glue or not to glue, that is my question??? I have the vintage wallpaper tacked up behind everything and I just haven't commited to gluing them in place yet.

What do you think, should I glue them? Just I spent $150 on this Rachel Ashwell Simply Shabby Chic book shelf that I LOVE .And once it's glued thats it theres no turning back should I change my mind someday. So what do you think?

Pretty crinoline ruffles of tulle and ribbon.. I had a great weekend out at my favorite shop, Today's Country store, there link is on my sidebar if you'd like to check them out and you should ,there shop is packed full of all things pretty.

Like this pretty old album that just had to come home with me , the inside pages are the prettiest shade of blue.

Not sure what I'll do with these yet.
Do you ever go shopping and then get home and think about that thing you "should have bought" so then you make another trip?? Well I did and this old rose candle stick along with a new vintage white farmtable for my studio ( will post that next) was my reason to go back again.

Isn't it pretty, it love the way it looks with an old hat hanging on top.

I love my new table , it fit my little studio perfectly and hubby was such a trooper too!! He loves my little shopping extravaganza's , I just know he does. What did you do this weekend???

I love Altered Couture , not just because my shirts in this issue but because it is packed full of awesome ideas. What girl doesn't love clothes right? So why not spruce up that T or embellish your jeans or jacket?? Oh! I have some good ideas for some really cute shirts I want to make to wear everyday.

I created this, another Barbie T. A little different from my last one, but so pretty.I love the way it turned out. Isn't she glamorous? You can get a copy at Stampington!

Made some valentines today for the shop, but I want to keep them, there so cute .

Thanks for all your comments on my last post and all your ideas for the magazine piles.. I think I am going to go through all my magazines and create an inspiring journal, just one place to go instead of going through every magazine to find one thing. All the magazines except the Somerset ones. Those to me are like books.Maybe a sweet little decorating journal with a cover like this only maybe with a chandelier on front instead of this sweet little girl. Here is a little journal I made. I think is showed you the cover before but I added a picture and the words my little journal along with some petite tinsel string.

I love the way it turned out and it makes me want to make more, using scraps of my vintage wallpapers along with other little vintage tidbits.
Not sure what I'll doodle in it? Do you journal and if so what do you journal about???
Do you use markers,pens, pencils? paint?Each page has been stitched with my sewing machine and with all these blank pages I wonder what should I do next?

I also used a whole lot of glue sticks too! I would love to know about your journaling and what should fill these pages.Nothing or daydreams of wishful thinking, flea market adventures???

Heres one page I did for a the journal, but did not sew it in. I decided to go with all the pages blank. Not sure if I should have used markers instead of pen? What do you think?I wrote Gracie loves elmo, her gameboy and mommy too? I think I need some journaling help!! So help me!!

We did have a birthday today , my little boy Matthew turned four , we had chocolate cupcakes and he got his Buzz Light year .

Some super pretty holy cards I picked up, I just love the old images and colors .Not sure what I'll do with them yet....

I have been working on the 3 different swaps I signed up for , these are for Speckled Egg's petite valentines inspiration little matchbox swap , mine are covered in bits of vintage wallpaper...wrapped in paper doily's and vintage pink/white tulle. All wrapped up ready to go...

I am going to buy a new camera and I feel lost with all the choices , would love to know of any good ones if you know of any!!! I have a poor lighting problem so I would need one that works well for that...

Did I ever confess I am a magazine junkie,hoarder,critic??? Well I am ! I love issues like Somerset Life and Altered Couture, oh how I wish I could sew clothing, I can make my little girls pants but not shirts .Anyways I wanted to tell you I also love Romantic Homes magazine, it never dissapoints and same with Romantic Country, love that too, BUT I used to buy Country Living all the time , until about 7 months ago when Nancy their editor left, the magazine has just not been the same , It's turned so moderny with atwist of retro, I'm not really sure?? I can't stand it. Does anyone else know what I am talking about??? Not one pretty article , or if there is, it's only one page , I won't buy a whole magazine for one page of pretty!! This magazine would be part of my magazine monthly buy, but not anymore ...I will though cherish my past pretty issues and treat them like gold , what do you do with your stacks of magazines?????

Out Junkin'

Went junkin yesterday and came home with a few goodies but chose just a select few of my favorites to show you. Like this old little composition baby doll. Doesn't she have just the sweetest face. I love old dolls.

And this little vintage pin keep. I have always wanted one of these old little boxes with the old glass pins poked in, and now I finally do! Hard to photograph, though.I am just so happy with this little thing!

And this sweet little flapper girl, an old pin cushion topper . Made in Germany, so pretty and sits nestled on my hutch amongst a pile of old pearl bracelets like the ones in the picture that I like to collect also.

After a long day

After a long day of cleaning and folding laundry the house feels clean and de-cluttered a bit . I washed all the linens and folded them so...

I was finally finished and ready to hang out with a few friends who were coming over to make something pretty with me.

Here we are ready for some glitter and glue !

Here is the little paper treat I made using a copy of my favorite vintage wallpaper, these are my new cards I have been working on, wouldn't these be lovely to receive instead of your usual card? You can create any saying for the occasion.

We snacked on sugar cookies and I served coffee, talking about the new year and everything we wanted to do.Here is the one Jenny made, she used the pinking shears on hers and hers says vintage girl,with a few old bling buttons. Jenny had brought her huge book of old sheet music from 1890 , she even shared some with me!

And the one Karen made, she is going to give hers to her sister for her birthday next week!

After my friends went home , I made a few more horseshoes that are plain with stitched sewn about them , I love sewing paper and do often . I also made a few more Vintage Hearts

I love the crepe ruffles on them, there mini ruffles which makes them the perfect size for these and are so very pretty!The pink one is a vintage flocked wallpaper that I had been hoarding but finally decided to use it. Are you a hoarder too?? I have lots of things I just can't bare to use, sometimes, it may be the last piece of vintage wallpaper. I do copy my wallpaper but it's not the same as the real thing..

I also worked on this cover for a journal I made, I think I have caught the crafting bug and making pretty things seams to be the cure :) Once I get my batteries charged I will show you pictures of whats inside this pretty cover!!

I love flowers , sometimes I really miss working at the flower shop.I love these spray roses I got for my birthday today , they looks so much prettier when there in little old creamers rather than just a vase.Then I can put them all over the house in little places.I picked up the two old hats at the goodwill last night, I just love the shade of cream that they are, they were only 2 bucks, so that made my day!!!We have a new goodwill by my house and I am in heaven!! It's like a treasure hunt for me!!

This came in the mail ,I won this from Fifi's Ohh Laa La contest where my little chair I redid won. This is so pretty and a great addition to my home!Thanks FiFi!!!!

I made this bracelet last night , I have been wanting to make one for awhile and finally did, it has little old rhinestones, old earring pieces,buttons,pearls and a little key .

I am so grateful for all my sweet blogging friends, so I wanted to give one lucky winner a little birthday present from me!Starting with a awesome little bundle of these vintage fabrics, aren't these just so pretty!!!!

No, it's not my birthday yet ,it's on dec 21st and I'll be the big 3-0 oh my gosh did I just tell everyone how old I am going to be!!!! :), but I did get this for my birthday early!

It's Rachel Ashwell's Simply Shabby chic dish set from Target and right now it's on sale! That's why I got it early becasue it sells for 70.00 but right now you can get it for 50 bucks so don't walk to target, RUN!!

They are so pppreeetttyy!!! It's a 16 piece set with plates ,mugs and deep bowls that I love with a scalloped like edge on the bowls and plates too.

The food just looks so much prettier on these, it really does.Pretty like these sweet roses . A new goodwill opened up near my house so I have been there quite a bit as well as trying to finish up the christmas shopping and decorating. We are going to take the kids to see santa on the 19th, hopefully I can get some cute lil pictures of all my little tarlings!
I do like to pick out my gifts because I like things that are functional like the dish set, I had been using all my vintage dishes till now, but I thought if I ever wanted to use my dishwasher now I can with these dishes as I don't think you can put old dishes through the wash ,nor would I want to take that chance.Anyways ,I can't believe it is almost christmas already!!!Where does the time go??

I heart christmas

I love christmas time, it has a special feeling to it , listening to Christmas music, the red cups at starbucks and snow .My sweet friend Jenny from the barn gave me this Merry Christmas and I think it looks so pretty hanging on this very old picture that I just love. I really love how all the colors go together.

And of course the chandelier got the Christmas treatment, I went with blue,pale blue's and silvers. All old ones of course. I don't even own any new ornaments .

And the other chandelier has a few reproduction ornaments with one I made, it is the sheet music one in the back with old tinsel, this pretty hangs in the kitchen window.

And i couldn't help but add something to this Simply Shabby Chic Toile rose wreath that I love with a few of my favorite old Christmas cards and an old little bird. How is your decorating coming along??

Well a little slow on the tree part of it, but I do have the ornaments out, I just have to go get some more white lights before I hang these on my fake white tree. I love my fake white trees because every year when I was little we would go to Grandma's and she always had her fake white tree up with old ornaments and colored lights.

Hopefully next time you'll actually see these ornaments on the tree!!! I love to hear about your home and come by for a blog visit to see if you've posted any pics, let me know!

Another sweet vintage tree topper to add to my collection~

I love displaying these on this pretty green shred in a pretty silver dish. I found this at the

thrift shop today for $1.50 . This little thing made my whole day! Also picked up some white vintage damask napkins. I just love them and feel like I can never have enough of them .

I also made a bunch of these for the barn sale next weekend . I took old vintage reflectors and added some sparkly tinsel with vintage images and they turned out so sweet and christmasy.

I also added some pretty things like this old satin ribbon pin cushion here in my shop along with a lot of other pretty findings like old doll dresses,vintage wallpaper and craft bits to make things with !!! Now wouldn't this make a lovely christmas present! Especially for the sewer or shabby person in your life. I would pin on a little message with a pearly corsage pin.

Will be back with pictures of my nearly finished all white tree with all vintage pale pink /silver ornaments! Hopefully I'll get it photographed this weekend to show ya!

Christmas Ideas Pt. 1

I came up with these sweet little christmas gift bags using some vintage muslin I had and a few old christmas postcards.

First, I sewed on the old postcard and then stitched down each side of the bag, pretty easy peasy!~Then the fun part was finding embellishments to add to these .The blue ribbon is an old taffetta with a vintage milk glass rhinestone broach attached.The other has a pale pink crinkled ribbon with a velvet flower with a rhinestone in the center.

I've been a busy girl!

I've been a busy girl filling apothecary jars with mercury glass ornaments and old shiny brites in my favorite colors...Also the winner for the Audrey Bag is # 3 Lori Karla! Pretty~Pretty~

My sweet bought me some roses. They help my calm my nerves since next Thursday I'll be going in for a little surgery! Yikes! Makes me nervous!!! My hernia needs to be repaired , right now I can't lift anything more than 10 pounds and it's driving me nuts!! Considering my little baby doll who's two now weighs about 30 pounds so I can't even pick her up for a huggy!

Anyways ~ I did a small makeover to my studio ,after seeing pictures of it I wasn't happy with the way it looked. One thing I have realized is that taking a photo of your room and then looking at it that way can really make you see things you may not see otherwise.

A sweet little glass cake plate full of some of my prettiest old earrings,I just can't get enough of !! And my favorite candle holder ,this sweet angel, it makes me happy looking at it, so I keep it in my studio where i do spend alot of time.

Has anyone else started bringing christmas stuff out like I have?? My husband was making fun of me saying " we don't celebrate 25 days of christmas ,we more like celebrate 100 days of christmas!" I just told him it only comes once of year and I LOVE christmas!!! On Thanksgiving I am already planning our trip to the tree farm, the tree will officially be up that day!

So I have been fixing these sweet little trees up! I practically got robbed when my Mom came over she loved them, so I let her have one, but only one! I am a hoarder, don't you know!

And a picture of the studio,Instead of a L shape for the tables,I changed it to tables down both sides with a shelf down the middle. I do really like it better, what do you think? Also for some reason my camera is on the blink. The picture is so yellowy!

I love fabric

My fabric addiction has been getting worse this week. Te he! So a trip to the fabric store helped a little . I picked out these pretty fabrics and really like the vintage style in them , they have the cutest little vintage style feed sack reproduction prints.

I love pretty stacks fabrics I am going to make the girls some pants using this favorite pattern of mine.These Portabello pixie pants made by Sandi Henderson are easy peasy to make , they also have cute tops which I have yet to try but soon I will give it a shot.I have only made the single ruffle but want to try the triple and I think it would be super cute with some of these fabrics.

I also picked up some pretty embroidery thread and here is just a sneaky peak of what I am working on.I have started stiching and can't seem to stop as it is really addicting!

The "working" studio and more treasures

It was a busy weekend at the Barn with my friend Jenny, I managed to remember my camera this time.The place was packed with goodies with about 1/2 the barn inside was set up inside also.Jenny is my sweetest friend , I love hanging out at the barn with her!

I did find something to bring home like this sweet pillow .How could one say no to this!

It looks good in my living room and after looking at my own photos of my living room , I decided I needed a real sofa. So I found an over sized white sofa thats really cozy. So that should be here this week, once I can get it home, I can't wait and also take more pictures, my living room seemed to look really bare to me, the ugly computer is on the other side of the room with the tv. I love the little settee that I rescued , but it is just too small for the living room. I think I'll use it in my bedroom instead.

I also added this to the small window in the living room that overlooks the day porch. A little more pretty for the living room!I have another crinoline thats really blue and SUPER full, I may trade that in on a pretty white one like this pink one that I love.

I know you've all been waiting to see where I create , my little studio is actually in our breakfast nook that is just perfect for all my junk and too small for a table with 7 needed chairs. So here it is , I call it a "working" studio because there is stuff everywhere, i always have atleast 4 or 5 projects going at one time!

And here is my inspiration board loaded with lovely things.

two sweet old vintage doll prom dresses hang from this Italian chandelier, I really have a thing for pretty old doll clothes!

More stuff here, old teacups filled with embellishments ,glitter,millinery, buttons ...Just stuff everywhere!

Looking at all this makes me want to go make something and thats my whole point in decorating this room, I also like to store things in old hat boxes, like tulle,papers, knick knack stuff I amy need.

Pretty ~ Pretty~

See that little baby old key below the buttons,I had picked that up at a yard sale this summer, and one of the kids a few weeks ago locked the bathroom door, well this house was built in 1930's so it has the old key hole locks. I was desperate to figure something out, the butter knife didn't work , and then a light bulb came on and I remembered I had this key and it worked! Who knew I would actually need this for something besides art!

Coming up roses

Everything is coming along nicely ~ especially with inspiration from this.I am hoping she'll come out with some more dvd's too! I chose the two day delivery but it was worth every penny!

My little couch is an old blue velvet settee saved from the roadside , however does have a tiny repair on the top backside so I have covered it with this pretty duvet from Rachel Ashwell's simply shabby chic collection.It looks pretty and inviting.I am having so much fun decorating and creating!

A far away glance, there is so much light that comes in through this window with an old vintage tablecloth tacked up.

And we have a new addition to the family.I just fell in love with this chandelier when I seen it at a local antique shop . I just can't stop staring at it!It really does complete my living room.

Here is a further away look, but a little blurry from all that sun that comes in that window!

I just love my end result, simple ,clean and clutter free.I love pretty things grouped together, but sometimes too much is just that too much for me with the exception of my craft room, now I can hardly get around in there!!!You can never have too much crafty things to play with! I have also decided to redo the day porch I showed in a previous post. The Bella rose curtains will come down and be made into cushions and I will start over.

I love the day porch it can be used for so many things, not sure what yet , may use it to store all my extra treasures. As I like to keep the inside pretty simple like you see.

In the opposite corner of the chandelier is a built in hutch from 1930', the year this home was built. I just love it and I am still rearranging things inside, so this may have a new look in the near future.

I did however manage to get in some creating time , like these sweet christmas cards I made for my shop that you can find here. I made this one into a set from a sweet old card my sweet friend Lili M. sent me in our last swap. I bought a new scanner so I have been scanning like crazy , even was up last night I couldn't sleep scanning at 4 am! And making cards, it was nice with the house so quiet, it was just me and my glitter and glue!This one has the prettiest old vintage tinsel I have ever seen.

And this one from an old German postcard from my collection.So pretty with it's pink touches.I also made some from some of my prettiest vintage wallpaper .These make giving extra special, I know I can't wait for christmas , it is my favorite time of the year to decorate.

Next time I will show pictures of my beloved craft room!!!

Home Comforts

Well we finally are all moved in, still trying to tidy up a bit, the studio looks like a bomb went off and I am still figuring out where to hang things, put things ..ect..ect..

And although we have a dishwasher, I still perfer to handwash these delicate pretty plates. I just love the way they look after there washed.

A little piece of my window ceil about the kitchen sink.. And below one of my favorite pictures of an old 1920's certificate of baptism, just so lovely with it's pale colors and pretty roses.Would you believe I found this on etsy. I find some of the best stuff on there!

The house was built in 1930, it has a quaint little day porch which I added these curtains to one of the windows.I tied them back becasue I do like to see out, but I also like the house to look pretty from the outside.

And thats a little bit for now, I am going to work on the studio today and finish styling the shelfs in a cute little built in hutch we have in the family room. Hope you have a lovely day! xo

What? More antiques, oh yes theres more!

Still planning my trip back!I've just been so busy this week packing as we are moving to our second cottage home, only this one is nicer 1930's all hard wood floors, a decorator's dream!... I am getting so excited to give you all a tour once I get settled in.I have been going through everything, it seems my style is changing a bit.....

This hamper is just to die for!!!! I am still kicking myself for not buying it, but if it's still there when I return it will be mine!

These lamps were just so cute, I can picture them in a bedroom, one on each side of the bed or something on cute little nightstands.So rare to find a pair too!

I have so many ideas on decorating our new home , I am ready for a fresh look , I can't wait to fix up my studio in a new way to bring about more creativity in my life! Because thats what I love to do! Be creative, I just can't help it!

I love the fabric used on this boudoir table. The sage green with bursts of roses, I especially like the pleats.

And i just love what this seller did with these little baby shoes, makes we want to create my own pair! Love the whimsical display~

A 3 hour drive to the north coast off of Birch Bay . It was just so pretty up there, the scenery and everything. The flowers were gorgeous and so was my Aunt getting married finally!

We even dodged a few golf balls scince the gold course is right behind the house and behind these tables, the backyard was a pretty place to have a reception.

And over looking the parks fountain is where they said there I do's. Aren't wedding's so romantic??

Antique shopping and a giveaway

I headed east to search for treasures.

One of my favorite little antique shops about an hour and a half to two hours away , right outside of Ellensburg in a little town called Throp is this place is loaded with goodies. I am already planning my trip back ! I bought the doll in the front of these two shown, the blonde one.

There was just so much to see.I love these pin cushion dolls and these dolls too.

Do you ever wish maybe you could live in the 30's 40's era? I do sometimes, thinking about being able to go into a store and these kind of things they would sell. You can't go to a regular store and buy these things .

And I loved this , you can see my little girl there in the mirror being a good little shopper and holding mommy's purse. Painted a pale pink would be darling in any little girls room!If I would have had more room this probably would have came home with me!

Of course there were lots of things I liked but I only buy what I love.

Only half my pictures came out as I was carrying my little girl who will be two in a couple weeks. She likes to shop too even at antique stores!

There were linens everywhere!

Like this gorgoeus old tablecloth tucked into an old drawer.

This barn style building is 3 stories inside, the first one has all the fruit and the upper two floors are loaded with antiques.

I love this cute little lamp with dotted swiss on it's old plastic shade. I did find a pale pink dotted swiss apron that I did buy just for the fabric, but it is so sweet I am not sure if I have the heart to cut it!(The picture cut the lamp shade off! I do love the jadite green vase in the picture too.

See these awesome belt buckles in the far left cabinet, Oh my gosh ! I love them with there chunky rhinestone look.

I am so going back for one of these!

Made this little sweet page for a book I am working on out of vintage wallpaper and these sweet little images from a book Lili M. sent me , it is full of images and little clothes so I came up with this paper doll theme layout.

I love all these colors together . this took me like two days to make becasue I always seem to get sidetracked with the kiddos.

Recently did a swap with sweet Lili M. She sent me lots of pretty things that you just can't find so much here.

Like these so pretty fabrics with a dotted rose apron for me to dress up~ She really thought about all the little details when she put her package together for me!

I love the packaging on these sweet old buttons.

Sigh~** So pretty these little notebooks she made! the blue one had the pretty fabrics in it and the white one was full of images and papers...

And this delightful little old candy box she decorated that had the sweetest ribbons, lace and little trinkets inside~

So inspiring, this makes me want to create and create and create!

Lili really spoiled me with this swap, she made this darling hat box covered with the prettiest paper and image with satin ribbon ..I just love it !

And inside was the prettiest old pitcher I have ever seen

vintage belles on it, everytime I look at it I think of my sweet friend Lili! I plan on getting some fresh flowers to put in this . I am looking foward to our christmas swap now , I know maybe it's too early to think about but it is only 3 months away and is my favorite time of the year to decorate.

Sweet little wrappers to tie onto vases that will be filled with flowers from the garden. Cute little vintage wallpaper cakes with glitter and hot pink millinery with 40 stamped on each cake

for a 40th wedding anniversary party~ How sweet??

A pretty vintage millinery rose for the bride with pearl hearts and white lily of the valley flowers tucked in.
Sweet little place cards for the bride and groom ,with there names stamped on top of one of my favorite old vintage wallpapers, glittered stars and old satin ribbon .

So sweet , I had a lot of fun creating this for a friend of mine !I also made these delicate candle rings for the tapers that will grace the tables. I just love how all the colors go together~

Pale Green

I love this vintage wallpaper with it's soft pale green shade with contrasting white and colored bouquets, it really is one of my favorites, so I used some for this sweet little notebook.

I love checking the mail and waiting for sweet little things like this old doll I bought from Beth

that I just love ,I think I have a thing for old pretty dolls scince I just can't help buying them all the time.

Whew! It has been so hot here , I can hardly get anything done . It was a 100 here today and It's supposed to be a scorcher tommarow too, I hate to go out because the ac isn't working in my car and even with a sunroof it doesn't help when trying to catch a warm breeze because that's all you get. But despite all that I decided to go to goodwill anyway and oh my it was the hottest 4 mile drive ever! Goodwill has been slim pickins lately but I keep looking anyway , found an old vase and that was about it.

Picked these up at a sale , cute little hanging vases , once the heat dies down I think I'll hang them from the tree in the yard with a garden rose in each...

A few vintage finds ~

I found a few good sales on friday and I just love it when that happens. Like these sweet little lady planters , I just love them so these I think I'll keep ....

This one is missing her hand that was actually taped to the backside and in her hand she is actually holding a mirror which I am going to glue back on .Even with her flawes she is still lovely ~

And one more with a little flaw but even so I just love all these vintage plant containers .

And these dainty 1920's vintage opera glasses from PARIS . Such a rare find and so french chic ~ These however I added to my shop , I'll proabably regret it later but you just can't keep everything! Stamped with the makers name and PARIS. I love the patina of these.

Along with this pale lavender ,almost looks pink vintage lace dress, this is just says southern bell to me~ Very femanine and flirty ,would be pretty displayed .A lacey shear top and the back of this is so pretty!~ Layers and layers of ruffles..... see below

I wish this would have fit me becasuse I really would wear it if the occasion was right !

More generous ruffles and sheer fabric .I just love vintage clothing especially pretty things with lots of little details such as this.....

And would you believe I found two vintage lace shoe bag holders ?? I did in one weekend! These are perfect for holding all your crafty goodies in your studio for extra inspiration! I love and use mine! Both available in the Shop! Anywho it's late here and I am sleepy , I will post pictures of the barn sale next time!!
