Want to go to vintage prom with me??

Inspired by vintage prom dresses and being a proud owner of a gorgeous vintage pink prom dress... I thought of something and being a floral designer for a long time, I don't work now but I have made 100's of corsages and have done a few weddings also !
Photobucket

I decided to create some of these.. because you can't go to prom with out a corsage!

ALL of these corsages are about 98% completely vintage, the only thing new used was a couple ribbons and the floral tape along with these certain millinery flowers, this one here has a very old early 1900's ribbon in it , blue satin, with velvet ribbons, vintage tulle, vintage lace, velvet leaves,a few glittered posies, and some sparkly ribbons also! Fabulous and pretty! These come with pearl pins also for wearing! Some will be listed in the shop today!
PhotobucketI love this pink one with big floppy vintage pink millinery flowers ,mercury glass pink and silver picks, vintage tulle ,vintage ribbons , this one is 100% all vintage, except for the floral tape!Double pearl pins on this one!Wouldn't this be a lovely gift for Mother's Day!?
PhotobucketI love this one, I added german glass glittered stars to this one and it really sparkles, huge floppy millinery flowers ,crinkled seam binding ribbon, vintage tulle, other millinery flowers, velvet leaves! I have so much fun making these ~ I am now working on some vintage valentines ones! And a sweet surprise in the mailbox yesterday!! This comes out february 1st! Get yours today at stampington .

Vintage finds me

PhotobucketOne of my newest vintage finds, I just couldn't say no to! In the back of an antique shop , from 1931 this old certificate of baptism, it has the prettiest rose and depictions of jesus on it, I just love it ! It now resides in my studio, just like this! Look at the roses, there gorgeous and very shabby chic .
Photobucket
And a rare find, I think ... These darling little dolly watches on there original cards, one still in the package and priced for 5cents . Ilove vintage dolls, so when Ii find vintage doll acessories like this, I get so excited!! I just love these and have them displayed now in my home , these were only 1.00 a piece!! YIP~ EEE!!! I would have paid more for them becasue there so cute!
PhotobucketIsn't this the prettiest vintage shoe bag you ever seen??!! I do! I love it ,and it is just perfect for my studio with it's pale colors and being a beautiful vintage fabric which I just love! I got this from my darling friend Jenny! We do shows together a few times a year, like a flea market style , so fun and I collect everyweek for these events , always shopping for goodies to fill my spaces with!So thats kind of my new thing going on! Anywho, when I seen this I just had to have it!! As you can see I've started to fill all the pockets!
Photobucket
PhotobucketAnd another pretty vintage jewelry box to fill up with vintage goddies like rhinestones! I love the velvety inside and satin . It also came with the original key inside the envelope shown there. It's a very pretty blue. These are just some of the little vintage finds I love finding!!

Want to make something pretty???

I came up with this cute little project over the last few days! And Ilove the way it turned out!!
What you 'll need??
Vintage nancy ann doll or other vintage doll, circle box or container, sparkly pipe cleaner, paper or paper lace, ribbons, millinery and hot glue!
Photobucket
PhotobucketI used this vintage satin round box beacsue it was all I had, but you can buy a circle wood box at the craft store , this little creation will be my own cake topper with my vintage finds! After I covered the sides of the box with my lace paper and you can use any paper you'd like, I just wanted my topper to have a realy vintage cake topper feeling!I then glued my nancy ann to the center with hot glue, wood box works best for this.
PhotobucketTake the pipe cleaner, I had to use two together to make it longer to go over the doll and secure it to the sides of the box.
PhotobucketThen start by twisting the millinery into a garland making enough to cover the pipe cleaner or you can also glue the flowers right to the pipe cleaner.
Photobucket
Then i start by attaching my garland of millinery to the pipe cleaner.
PhotobucketThen after it is all attached I glued more flowers on to the pipe cleaner and millinery arch and then made a cute little crown with german glass glitter for my doll and it turned out so cute!
Photobucket And here she is with the extras added to her base along with mercury glass vintage glittered stars! This can also be personalized ,like for a Sweet "16"
PhotobucketI really think this turned out so cute!!

Have fun!!!

The Bella Diaries of a crafty artist

After 45 minutes I finally arrive at Michael's, a huge craft store full of anything you could want. When I went in the store , to my surprise they had remodeled and moved everything around. Now what was supposed to be my in and out trip was going to take awhile , nothing was the same in there. By this time my eyes are glazed over by all the crafty goodness! I think I must have had glitter on my mind because everything I bought was glittery in some way, aqua glittered letters, 3 jars of glittered flowers in pale pink, white and copper. I couldn't decide on a color so I got all of them I liked. A bunch of glittery papers in different styles and I finally bought myself a new hot glue gun, if you seen the one I was using you'd probably laugh, it had so much glue all over it you could hardly see the glue gun and it was always dripping glue . I used it for the first time last night and it was nice, I made this...

I found this sweet little stationery box that was shaped like a book and the inside was hallow, so I decided to use it as a shadow box for one of my favorite things, a vintage doll. I covered the inside with a very pretty vintage buggy rental ledger paper and then topped it with a German glass glittered star along with dotted glitter tulle to create a curtain like effect. Then I added one of my pretty loose doll heads to this with angel feathers behind her with vintage ribbon and millinery flowers .
Photobucket

I am really happy with the way it turned out , A little paper and glue with creativity is all you need! Sorry about the flash, I think it's time for a new camera! Then it was off to the antique mall today and I came out with some pretty things! Like this darling bust , my friend Karla also found a pretty one not too long ago.
PhotobucketThis is definalty going to be a keeper! So romantic and pretty, I also found several bags of white vintage millinery flowers , theres atleast 100 bundles ,I would love to share these with some one, so leave a comment and I will draw a winner on my next post to send some to!!!And look at this darling old photo of a brother and sister , there's no date or names on the back of the photo . I always wonder how these family heirlooms are lost and who they are ??
PhotobucketThey are cute who ever they are !
