Want to make something pretty???

I came up with this cute little project over the last few days! And Ilove the way it turned out!!
What you 'll need??
Vintage nancy ann doll or other vintage doll, circle box or container, sparkly pipe cleaner, paper or paper lace, ribbons, millinery and hot glue!
Photobucket
PhotobucketI used this vintage satin round box beacsue it was all I had, but you can buy a circle wood box at the craft store , this little creation will be my own cake topper with my vintage finds! After I covered the sides of the box with my lace paper and you can use any paper you'd like, I just wanted my topper to have a realy vintage cake topper feeling!I then glued my nancy ann to the center with hot glue, wood box works best for this.
PhotobucketTake the pipe cleaner, I had to use two together to make it longer to go over the doll and secure it to the sides of the box.
PhotobucketThen start by twisting the millinery into a garland making enough to cover the pipe cleaner or you can also glue the flowers right to the pipe cleaner.
Photobucket
Then i start by attaching my garland of millinery to the pipe cleaner.
PhotobucketThen after it is all attached I glued more flowers on to the pipe cleaner and millinery arch and then made a cute little crown with german glass glitter for my doll and it turned out so cute!
Photobucket And here she is with the extras added to her base along with mercury glass vintage glittered stars! This can also be personalized ,like for a Sweet "16"
PhotobucketI really think this turned out so cute!!

Have fun!!!

Andrea what a great tutorial, very easy to follow, I will have to share your Blog with others. I have done something like this but with the Storybook doll, makes it just that much better.

Shes' beautiful!!

Where do you get "paper lace"?
I've never even heard of it before.
It would be an awesome thing to just have around.

Thanks,

Barbara Jean
