A day at the flea

A beautiful fall day makes me want to shop for some reason , I love the change of this season, fall being my favorite and winter , I can hardly wait to decorate for Christmas . I went out and about today and found the flea market sale that just had so much fabulous things! I picked up this framed print today for a song and when I got it home I looked it up online, it is old and I just knew it had to be worth something and sure enough it sells for 150.00! I thought I did pretty good on this buy! And to think I almost past it up ,I guess you just never know what you'll find! It's from 1935 and called His Letter by L. Jambor ..

And these sweet little things, A lacy pocket thing , probably would have held vanity type things, looks like a shoe holder but it isn't used a shoe holder ??Pretty creme vintage lace and these cute little shoe inserts ,just darling as the paint is weathered so perfectly and the painted flowers , not that I needed them but I thought they were pretty! And my favorite is the cup, I just love these vintage ones with sayings like this one that says "A present ". Rachel Ashwell has a little section in one of her books that has a few pictures of different ones, this one was made in Germany and fits my palette perfectly !And another pretty pink satin glove box , I just love these ,there perfect for storing things ,so I pick them up whenever I find one!
And I told you last post I was going to make you something and here they are! Petite little vintage wallpaper cottages~ Each unique in there own design , some of these have taken an hour or more to make ~ From the foundation up each one is constructed using vintage wallpaper ,vintage trims, velvet ,real vintage buttons, German glass glitter and rhinestones, vintage pearls in the prettiest color all built on a sturdy mat covered in vintage ledger paper ~ I am going to make a whole village!

Aren't these darling ??!! Each one has it's own look and feel , and they could be little ornaments too! These have lots of little details ! AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST! Thank you Molly and Wendy . For the" I love your blog" award !! I love your blogs too!

Bringing out the pretty fall colors

I Love fall ,already the leaves are changing here and the wind is picking up as well as the rains, my garden looks like crap but still I love the season of being cozy and bundling up ! I am going to get a pair of rain boots this year,I just hate it when my shoes and bottoms of my pants get all wet , I was thinking maybe a navy blue or pink pair. My little velvet strawberries arrived today and i thought they would look so cute in this little weathered bird bath made of cast iron. So cute! And really fall looking ,it will be a pretty little display for the living room. And also got these in the mail from Heather at pretty petals. It was from an auction to help the nie recovery effort for a sweet little family~
Look at all the lovely papers~ These will defiantly be hoarded!

Thank you Heather ,I love them ! Come back for my next post, I am going to create a pretty something just for YOU!!! xoxo Andrea

dress form makeover

Oh yes ,miss bliss just isnt her self anymore , she has had a makeover to more reflect my love for vintage ~ Here is her top wrapped with real vintage tulle , millinery flowers and a pretty vintage lace. Still not sure if I like the lace there or not , but it's ok for now . Her top is covered in a very pretty piece of vintage barkcloth that I have been hoarding and thought I might as well use it instead of just keeping it in my fabric stack . Her crinoline was replaced witht his white stiff tulle one I bought from heather over at pretty petals and then wrapped with some vintage trim and french ribbon .

I have a new pet ~ This darling sequined bird covered in beads ,glitter and the lovely feather from his tale ~ So pretty! I was working at the flower shop yesterday and she brought these in and I just had to have one! i think I might put it in my birdcage .
And this doll, I know I have seen these around alot on blogs and stuff, but I am not positive on what there called , are they called bisque dolls?? This one is a vintage one in perfect condition with her legs and arms .Not sure what i'll do with her yet??? If anyone would like to buy her let me know before I list her etsy.
And my favorite find of the week! this magazine, I love it and how could I not love it, it has Rachel Ashwell in it and her new home, OMG! I have been reading it over and over again!!! I did also pick up the country victorian ,it comes out once a year and I was DISSAPOINTED! Only one cute cottage in there and that was it ,I do not like the dark victorian colors like brown and red, marune dark green?? yuck! And it was full of it !I have the last two issues of this one and they were full of pretty homes so what happened with this issue ???? So guess what I retuned it ,I am not going to waste my money, I like magazines that have more then one page of the things I love and this one here it was worth every penny! I wish this one came out once a month. Thats just how I feel about magazines, they inspire me , and thats what I buy them for . Country Living a great magazine but the last two issues were filled with nothing really pretty , so I didn't buy them. Last year they had tons of great issues , and home companion is i think filled with nothing but ads , the last issue of yellow and orange everything ,I didn't like it so I didn't even buy it or the one thats out now . I am sure though the christmas one will be pretty ,lets hope so . I like pretty things!

I just can't figure out how to stay organized and tidy! Especially in my studio ! Theres ribbon ,glitter and papers everywhere ! I have somenice closet space intha back but that doesn't seem to help me much, I do use pretty containers ,baskets ,apothecary jars ,lidded boxes and I still am over flowing with craft stuff everywhere !!! Maybe it's taking over the studio and it's not just me???? Anywho here is a cute little bouquet I made in a vintage hobnail vase with paper flowers and the cream posies are from rachel ashwell's store with a cute glittered and feathery bird!I tied the vase with a velvet ribbon.

Then filled these two picture frames with two of my favorite vintage wallpapers ...
I am starting to accumulate alot of vintage wallpaper ,do you have any ideas on what else to do with it??? i would love to know???Maybe I could cover some boxes with it for pretty storage ? line drawers? I just want to make something! But something different !
And I am so excited !!! I have been working on a big project that hopefully I'll be able to share with you soon! xoxo

~Lovely displays to inspire ~

Don't you just love to be inspired?! I know I do , It gets my creativity going! Here is a pretty pale pink teacup saved from the crusher! I was in a little shop and it was going to be turned into a pile of mosiac pieces just because the plate was repaired but you can hardly see it at all unless you really look. And I bought it right then ,it's the perfect shade of pink ,It has the prettiest detail of gold design~ filled with a few vintage pearl cuff bracelets and a gemstone looking one and little clock pieces.
My newest creation! Glass glittered frames! Will be adding some to my little shop this week ,once there dry and finished off. I used a pretty piece of vintage wallpaper for the inside ! So pretty! I am loving these . All I can think about lately is what can I glitter ??

And my baby girl who was helping me hang clothes out on the line, wrapped in a vintage blanket and sitting in a vintage locker metal basket of mine that I use for everything! I think she was laughing at me , maybe it was my apron she thought was so silly ..Just a few more days till her party! I can hardly wait although I wish she was a little baby again, they grow so fast and I guess thats why i have so many kids?? I just love it when there little , she is already giving me baby craves and no i am not having anymore ..are you crazy?? Thats what I ask myself when i do think of it!
