Thank you Scrappy Jessi!

I must say this smells quite lovely ~ This came yesterday from Scrappy Jessi! Just wanted to say Thank you Jessi!!!, I love it and I am smelling fabulous! I am so excited because, I have never won anything before!!!! The bottle is very pretty too! A phone call to paper muse and 20 bucks later ~I got the new issue of Somerset Life~ Love it and had to go get it last night ~ Paper muse is about a 45 minute round trip drive , not too bad and so worth it, of course I call first to see if it was there ! I am telling you this store has it all !If your ever out my way lets go shopping together!

Les Modes Francaises

Inspired by the paper pretties in somerset's spring issue.I just had to print these, you can find them at stampington.com . I just happened to be out of color ink, so I printed them in black and white and colored them in my own pallete with colored pencils. I adhered them to vintage ledger paper from 1866 and decorated these ladies in vintage ribbons, rhinestones, millinery flowers and they turned out so sweet! These are very delicate scince the paper is so old, these would make a lovely keepsake to frame or what not~

I even gave one a pretty pair of pink foil wings, she is just as lovely as can be!

Here are some of my sweet pink roses that are drying quite nicely ~ Instead of hanging them I lay them out and kind of rotate them for a few days , they dry with a much nicer shape to them ..I like them to stay "open looking" and so this is how I do it~ When you hang them they kindof bunch in and can turn brown..See the one in the background already dried? It has a perfect shape to it! try not to over handle them as it can cause bruising to the petals..All you need to do is turn them once a day till dry!

Pink roses

It finally came ! My new shower curtain from Rachel ashwell's simply shabby chic line, her new cherry blossom print!I have been waiting and waiting, Here are her hooks that go with the shower curtain, I bought them at Target, but they were out of the shower curtains so I found the shower curtain on ebay! I just love the ruffles on it ~ I love ruffles on anything actually!

Here she is miss pretty ! This is a head vase that I love , it is so chic! I clipped some of my pink roses and put them in her and it looked so pretty! My husband still buys me flowers , but sometimes I would rather have a new rose bush ! I love summer garden fresh roses all through the house ! Cielo from the house in roses is having a garden party so here is some of my garden brought indoors!They come back every year and whenever you need flowers you can just go out and cut them ! Unless the weathers crappy and the gardens shabby! One of my little trinket books made out of 1866 ledger paper and themed " vintage roses" with german scrap and vintage rose poems inside~

Show And Tell Sunday

I Love playing show and tell and looking at all of your finds too! Here are just a few and where I got them.. ..A vintage baby crib in the perfect shade of pale pink with the decal still there.. you can take a closer look too by clicking on picture ..Five dollars at a yard sale ~ Here's my sweet sign , I think I showed you before , dear husband wanted me to have this.. at the local market in town 12.00!I really love the vintage lady on this, it hangs in my laundry/craft room~

And this sweet perfect shade of blue lamp, old pottery in perfect condition, bakelite plug in, just a darling floral motif too! 3.00 at the thrift! I love lampshades and have lots to change up, so I put a Rachel Ashwell blush beauty shade with a ruffle on this and the colors are perfect together~

2 sweet vintage pink rose doilies in lovely condition..These were dirt cheap at 25 cents a piece at the church yard sale ! I collect lots of vintage linens , Just darling ..Usually at sales I always head for the linens first for some reason.. maybe it's part of my vintage linens addiction??! :)

And here's actually what I got yesterday at a yard sale for 2.00 ..A pretty blue vintage fabric apron with a darling Mother vintage hankie with tulle layered in on the pocket .So sweet, I do love to just wear these around the house , the phone fits perfect in the pocket!
Just so delicate and sweet! The little details is what I love.

And another at the same sale ! 2.00 and this is actually the one I wore today while I was out hanging laundry on the line because finally we had a half way decent day around here to be able too, One of my favorite things about summer is line dried clothes, the smell and I like crispy towels ..some I do iron though..

I love yard sales , thrift shops , flea markets , antique shops, flower shops, and of course paper muse and starbucks!

I have been taking pictures like CRAZY! Trying to get some pretty ones for my new blog design that I wll have soon! Iam so excited..I have always wanted one of sadie olives designs! I have more pictures..so i'll save them for later ! I am going to go to the nursery tommarow and see what pretty flowers i can get for my garden and to photograph! I am going to get some roses and of course some of my favorite flowers..the peonies! I love flowers, I have 12 years in floral design..I started when I was 16 and have worked for several top flower shops in the area ..For the last six years I have done weddings only from my home..I do have pictures of those I have done ! Trash to Treasure

It's Trash to Treasure this sunday ~ Thanks Analise and Cerri for having a great Show and Tell this Sunday! I thought I would join in on the fun!!! Ok , heres the sweet vintage mirror with lovely rose detail ..only the mirror must have gotten broken and is missing , I found this at a yard sale for 25 cents and just had to bring it home..there was something about it , I guess....I tried to put it back but something told me it coul be turned into something lovely! Here it is before ...there really is such lovely detail on the base ..vintage roses.

THE AFTER!

I tied some ribbons across the top and embellshed it with a glittered star, sheet music star ,millinery flowers and some french ribbon and it holds my vintage pearl bracelet collection now.. I also added a paper rose and a little bit of millinery to the base .. I originally wanted to paint it white and tie the ribbons across the top and then hang some sort of small saying from it..but I am out of white paint as we just finished the living room and my new amoire..So this was my next idea..I think it turned out pretty for a display piece~For my vintage pearl bracelet collection!

And LOOK at the invites I made for daughters birthday Wednesday! Aren't they cute.. I am really loving aqua more and more !!!

Paper , velvet roses, vintage ribbons are just a few of my favorite things!

I wanted to tell each and everyone of you how much I appreciate your comments! I am planning a newbie blogger giveaway soon! Well I have been busy this week ..paper creating starting with this banner, it's ok ..I know i could have made a much prettier one but I was not wanting to part with too much of my stash~ A sweet banner I made for my lily mae's 5th birthday on wednesday..Something simple and cute for the party and lily mae really does appreciate the papers! She is a little me.."oh that's pretty" she says or "I want to make something" ,Love it.And the vintage sheet music is "The Lily Of The Valley " which I think is so fitting! Lily..
I have always liked the name Lucy and if I was to have another girl I would name her that..but I'm not ..Five is plenty for me!:)

Some sweet vintage ribbons and tulle I picked up at a yard sale yesterday! 25 cents a piece ~ Way to shop..I love the colors of these!

And see the pink velvet vintage pin flower~ Picked this up at a sweet shop last week for 7 bucks..It was just too pretty to pass up!

I put it in this darling pale pink teacup with my rhinestone RA shabby chic curtain rings And some glittery feathers.. See the little price tags ?? That's how I price my wares that I sell in town..
A little something I am working on ..although I will redo thee fairy girls tonight.. i think they would look pretty on an aqua background~

I plan on making a bunch of things tonight ..

Also Sadie Olive is having a RED thing this week so here is mine! My Rachel Ashwell cluster pink duvet ~ It has lots of tints of red in it.. Not matching to my palette but very pretty~

One more thing! My sweet kitty , isn't she lovely her name is mabel ! Scince I don't have an actually kitty this one works for now..A 50 cent find! Lets get out and yard sale this weekend!!!
